Rules

Gikochan is an anonymous community, not a lawless one. These rules apply globally to every board.

Global rules

  • No illegal content or activity. Do not upload, request, link to, encourage, facilitate, or discuss obtaining content or services that violate applicable law.
  • Zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualized depictions of minors, grooming, solicitation, or links and instructions used to find such material are forbidden. Suspected violations may be preserved and reported to the appropriate authorities.
  • No deepfakes or non-consensual intimate content. Do not post AI-generated, edited, or authentic intimate depictions of an identifiable real person without that person's consent. Do not use synthetic media to impersonate, defraud, exploit, or harass anyone.
  • No threats, exploitation, or encouragement of harm. Credible threats, incitement, trafficking, extortion, instructions for serious wrongdoing, and content celebrating or facilitating real-world abuse are prohibited.
  • No personal information or coordinated harassment. Do not dox, stalk, intimidate, target, or organize raids against another person or community. General abusive behavior, sustained personal attacks, and discriminatory harassment are prohibited.
  • No malware, fraud, or dangerous files. Phishing, malicious code, credential theft, deceptive downloads, and attempts to compromise Gikochan or its users are forbidden.
  • No spam or manipulation. Do not flood boards, automate posting, evade bans or limits, manipulate votes, impersonate staff, or abuse the report system.
  • Respect board topics and moderator directions. Follow board-specific rules where posted. Use the built-in report tool for violations; do not repost prohibited material while reporting it.
  • Post only content you are entitled to share. Do not infringe copyrights, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

Enforcement

Moderators may remove content, lock or delete threads, invalidate votes, and restrict access at their discretion to enforce these rules and protect the service or its users. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent bans.

Gikochan records poster IP addresses for moderation. When content may be illegal, threatens safety, or indicates exploitation—especially suspected CSAM—operators may preserve relevant posts, files, IP addresses, timestamps, and moderation records and report or disclose them to law-enforcement agencies or other appropriate authorities.

Age

You must be at least 18 years old to use Gikochan. If you are not 18, do not access or use the service.
